    Seattle has refused to salt the roads for precisely this reason.

      It also fucks up cars and the soil. Sugar beet juice also works as a deicer and isn’t corrosive. I prefer sand, just since it works in all temps and it’s inert.

    no surprise.

    Grew up in Kelowna, where they sand the roads but don’t salt them. Moved to the coast, and im always suprised by how much people throw salt around here.
