- This seems like the obvious conclusion of where things have been heading. There has been cognitive dissonance in conservative Christians for a long time now. I think that, as polarization continues, it is inevitable that people will decide that Jesus is “too woke” rather than live with the dissonance. - I expect some will split off, wanting to follow the biblical con man over the living one. That will be an epic fight. - I wonder how long it will take them to recognize that they are no longer Christians if they no longer follow the teachings of Christ. - Considering their skills at cognitive dissonance are maxed out they probably won’t and will forever have acrimonious debates with True Christians™ about it.
