TIL that a small islet called South Talpatti was disputed between India and Bangladesh until 2010, when it was submerged due to rising sea levels caused by global warming, settling the dispute.

Rising sea level settles border dispute

In an unusual example of the effects of global climate change, rising sea levels in the Bay of Bengal have helped resolve a troublesome territorial dispute between two of the world's most populated countries.
