This article is 10 years old, but my wife's iPhone 12 just got paid off and the performance on it hit the brakes overnight. Same with my son's iPhone 11. Both working last month. Dogs now.

    You might want to check the battery health on those phones. When the battery gets doggy the performance is affected (to prevent app crashes and system crashes).

        The iPhone 16 just released. The 18 won’t be available for years. Did you mean iOS 18?
