Taking $151 million is insane to me. $5 million is easily enough to live comfortably on the interest for the rest of your life. That number is probably even lower with the cost of living in China. How the fuck do you not stop at some point and say “my boss was literally executed for what I’m doing right now, maybe I should chill”?
Presumably he had already taken a huge amount of bribes prior to his boss getting got 3 years ago, so he probably figured “in for a penny, in for a pound” and kept going.
