I actually downgraded from whatever the latest Note was at the time for a second hand 6a. No complaints. And a fraction of the cost, and I’m not paying Verizon monthly installments for a “free” phone.
Related, I used to armor my phone because I get up to things that could result in damaging the phone up to and including dropping it in several feet of water. If it happens to my Pixel I’ll just go get another used one. Less stress FTW!

Attended a high school graduation where the valedictorian gave the traditional speech. I felt so bad for her… So much sacrificed for a title that will haunt her the rest of her life.
I think her GPA was like a 4.8 or something crazy. Maybe it was worth it for the scholarship? Seemed way more like a burden than an opportunity, and something that set the tone and expectation for her academic and likely professional career.
Loved this! This was the same era as a game called “Castle of the Winds” that was a top-down RPG with a similar tile based layout with a distinct Win 3.1 feel. I remember getting it as a part of one of those shareware compilation disks and ending up actually buying the extended version because it was so much fun.

This. So fucking much this. I’ve seen Jira used to plan waterfall schedules, to track meeting actions, and as a relational database. And all of them claiming to be “agile”.
When used for the right thing in the right way, Jira is a great tool. It is people who make it shitty, and specifically the type of PM who doesn’t understand the complexities, people or technical, of their work.
