Buying a car does nothing to support fascists from the 1940s. Meanwhile paying meta/google etc or using their products directly funds their influence campaigns to hide crimes against humanity taking place every day.

If they’re so outdated maybe they’re due for a change? The main thing that is needed is motivation

Sure but most probably don’t need sophisticated services, and there are alternatives

Why not sell some now and move to different asset classes? If you recognise risk then reducing that risk is one of the best things you can do
But no, here come the “time in the market…” and “stonks only go up…” brigade. Which actually contradicts the message of this article

…goon of fortune…

True, but one reason they don’t is that Iran decided, well how about we just take control of the strait and charge tolls, and the US/Israel is now shocked Pikachu face. Which was a deterrent before, but they kind of got forced into acting on their deterrents. So stopping now leaves Iran in a stronger position and US the obvious losers.
Their other options? Well it’s a bit of a shit sandwich, but at the moment they’re just in denial until they one day give up and eat it. Or turn it into another forever war like Afghanistan just out of denial they are in a shitty losing position

Awful abuse by police and the courts
How can it be a war on Russia, they chose to invade. They can simply leave again at any time

I’m not going to youtube just based on a hyped up headline

Lemme guess, this is a reward for sending the mob to crash the borders with Ceuta (Spain)
The League of Nations was a precursor to the UN which did include enforcement, it turns out that is really complicated. One description was that collective security:
failed ultimately because of the reluctance of nearly all the nations in Europe to proceed to what I might call military sanctions … The real reason, or the main reason, was that we discovered in the process of weeks that there was no country except the aggressor country which was ready for war … [I]f collective action is to be a reality and not merely a thing to be talked about, it means not only that every country is to be ready for war; but must be ready to go to war at once. That is a terrible thing, but it is an essential part of collective security.
“Imagine if I had played for Spain instead”

Seeing behind can be tricky on a bike, it’s not safe to turn your head when moving fast and often you need to watch in front as well as see behind, eg to pass an obstacle. Some kind of rear view can be handy, although mirrors are also possible to use
Sure, you could also simply stand around looking at things saying “hmmmm…”. After all every observation is unique, so you could accept all the differences and just observe it as it is, say “hmmmm” and then move on to the next unique and special observation. Trying to identify commonality and give it names just throws away most of the information in each unique and special experience

Ok interesting approach

Interesting, although I’m not sure how it is meant to work with Whatsapp, the install notes say running in an Android VM is not recommended, and the other option is running it in a physical phone, so I’m not sure what the benefit is in that case
This also has cause and effect backwards in many cases. People who do awful things are ripe for blackmailing and controlling, so they get inserted/promoted to important positions to act favourably for those running the blackmailing. (eg the Epstein files)
If the business model collapses, it can lead to shutdowns, running models is expensive and if no one wants to pay the actual costs the party stops. If only a few people are willing/able to pay the high actual costs then scale gets lost as well, keeping prices up high.
Sure the cat is out of the bag and it’s likely there’ll be some form of generative AI in future, but the ecosystem is likely to be very different to the mass-investment loss-driven environment we are currently seeing
It’s a Keynesian beauty contest, prices go up because more people put their money there. If they keep it local that also improves the local returns
