My dad likes to joke about how when he was a kid, his dad would call him lazy if he tried to carry in too many groceries in one trip, since he was trying to save a trip. But if he carried too few groceries in at once, he was lazy because he was strong enough to carry in more. So it was a “damned if you do, damned if you don’t” type situation.
