Wouldn’t it be great to have someone of Nick’s calibre finish a career with our team for once. I’ve been a fan of the NFL since the late eighties and seen so many stellar players move on, and it seems to me to be increasingly common.

Anyway, thanks to @ctang1@lemmy.world for the heads-up about this community. (Maybe I’ll stick around for a bit, but I’ve an annoying habit of dropping off the radar quickly - or annually - often).

My first thought was, “Who predicted this?”

Trey Wingo, on the Carman show. He’s basing his prediction on Chubb’s contract running out and the $16+ million cap hit he’d carry.

I guess it’s possible, but Chubb’s contribution - hopefully for the upcoming season anyway - is absolutely worth the money.
