Hopefully it’s okay to ask here, but does anyone have a Calckey invite they’d be willing to share? I’d like to check it out and would prefer a local instance.

I tried to sign up for a few, and all of them are invite only. I just gave up at that point and figured I’d post here instead.
So I got a quick message from @idanoo@lemmy.nz who is involved with running it but didn’t have time to reply.
Basically, Calckey is apparently planning to do a rebrand and won’t be called Calckey anymore. calckey.nz have shut registrations waiting to see what happens with that rebrand.
Yup exactly this. There is a calckey rebrand happening most likely with the new version we are currently on the final RC version before this. (I’m guessing the rebrand will come with the new version).

registration has only temporarily been disabled for calckey.nz until the name change become official. My best guess is when the latest version is release currently in the final Release Candidate of it ( I think )

What’s calckey and why do I want an invite?
It is an alternative to Mastodon forked from Misskey which originated in Japan before Mastodon. It’s in heavy development and has more functionality currently than Mastodon.
