this places the Commission’s stance in direct contradiction with EU law, which generally prohibits the use of citizens’ data in the way the US wants.
So, there is nothing to worry about. They can’t get against EU law until they change it.
Abiding to the law or moving to change it is so last century. You simply ignore it, face no consequences and then look confused that people lose trust in politics and democracy.

However, given that the US still exercises massive pressure on the EU to keep personal data flowing, noyb will also file a lawsuit in the coming weeks, aiming to allow the CJEU to annul the current deal. However, such a lawsuit typically takes 2-3 years until a final decision is reached.
