Daphne Caruana Galizia, the murdered journalist who is referred to, was not the reported who broke the story. She was however murdered very likely due to her work on the Panama Papers and for exposing a dirty Maltese businessman and his political ties.
Remember how this has been going on for millennia? The rise of parasite classes who suck everything dry. And in getting rid of them humans somehow create a new parasite class whose sucking power gradually increases till everything falls to shit again.
Time to come up with a better narrative.

Next time we could try to not obey the next best chud who promises he will make it all better. We could put mechanisms in place that avoid accumulating riches. We could maintain smaller units of administration to keep our authorities closer to our pitchforks. Just some ideas.
Simple rule: wealth caps. Nobody can get richer than, say, 10 million dollars. Any additional income goes 100% to taxes. Does require world wide implementation and 100 % financial openness of everyone’s wealth

Teach how to detect narcissism and psychopathy in schools. Teach ways to detect and rebuff manipulation. If enough people avoid being victims of mind games, those parasites will never rise again.

Remember how we, the people, had the numbers to force change and repercussions, but we collectively decided that it was too hard and we would face too many consequences? People can simply mob up and track down the corrupt rich individuals to enact vigilante justice, but we don’t.
I mean the early 1900s were a bit before my time… There’s a reason why the police became militarized. Mob violence isn’t the threat it used to be. A revolution nowadays would need to be a lot more coordinated and probably have to be more of an insurgency.

Because the people driving the train have spent three generations disseminating the propaganda that doing anything about the train is bad and makes you worse than the train. And people are mostly stupid, so that’s worked really well.
