I would say about 75% of people I speak to at work say “happy {day of the week}”. It’s absolutely loathsome. Please shut the fuck up.
The proper response is just “Monday.”
I respond with, “Yeah Happy happy”
But there’s nothing happy about it.
Sounds like someone has a case of the Mondays.
I replay this scene in my head every time someone wishes me a happy Monday.
This is me but when people say “tgif” or post those “you made it to Friday” memes.
Monday is my Friday and Friday marks the beginning of the busy time of the week

At some point businessy people just started saying"Happy whatever-day-it-is". Happy Friday was the only acceptable one. 😅
