The Riksdag has voted in favour of the Government’s proposal that the moral character of aliens, in other words their way of life, should be more closely considered when considering the right to a residence permit, both when it comes to granting and withdrawing such permits.

    As long as it’s well-defined and enforced equally.

    Japan has a clause like this and it’s just a black box at least somewhat at the discretion of the individual worker processing your status application. Does a parking ticket count? A speeding ticket? Yet Japanese people speed like maniacs all the time, particularly in the countryside.

    Good. If you go to another country and commit a crime they should throw you out. This isn’t rocket science. Behave yourself in other peoples countries. And maybe not rape people.
