Isn’t that a war crime? Is anyone still keeping track?

Yup, attacking water systems is a violation of the Geneva conventions and a clear unlawful order of which members of the military are compelled to not follow as they are bound by the Geneva Conventions and trained on it.

Protocol I (Article 54) and Protocol II (Article 15) of the Geneva Conventions prohibit attacking, destroying, or rendering useless objects indispensable to civilian survival, such as drinking water installations, dams, and dykes.

Article 33 of the Fourth Geneva Convention prohibits collective penalties and all measures of intimidation or terrorism. Threatening to cut off electricity and water to an entire population as a means of coercing political compliance clearly constitutes collective punishment.

Destroying Iran’s electric and water supply is a war crime.

it’s a reminder that those who volunteer for the mil are, indeed, pieces of shit.

          I thought like you once.

I agree this war, and many, are unjust.

Somewhere around 9/11 and Iraq I had to learn that the military is a necessity, and they can also be abused. I suppose my grand dad learned that when he was drafted for the big one, and we talked about it - in our way, after 9/11 when it all seemed to go sideways.

It’s a shame we send our volunteers on missions like this. It’s a shame we have to draft people to protect ourselves. It’s a shame we lay shame on our service members when they are misused and abused by our politicians.

The military is a tool. Soldiers are people.

I hope you can learn that too, some day.

Soldiers that were legally and morally obligated to refuse the orders to strike the water supply.

You would have argued the guards at the concentration camps shouldn’t have been prosecuted.

“Just following orders” is not a legal defense against accusations of committing war crimes.

I can see the problem from here. Trump doesn’t view the “enemy” as “human”.

See, just use words and everything is now OK.

it is a war crime and the only people keeping track are the ones that are intentionally not empowered to do anything about it by people committing the war crime.
