I’ve had some coworkers stick to their guns when faced with undeniable proof that their takes are incorrect. Their egos get in the way of doing the job. That’s when I lose respect for them and just quote the AI instead of trying to fight their egos.
I hate how chat jippity actively makes this harder to do. They have a button to “copy all code” while blocking you from selecting a few lines and copying… You’re not allowed to pick the gems out of the slop.
People have been pasting garbage they didn’t internalize for decades. What makes AI extra painful is that we’re learning our peers can be persuaded to do it more often by an obsequious answer that shows the most trivial display of engagement with the inputs.
