AI is a weapon…which is not AI… ok got it. Can’t wait til the bubble pops. Our econonomy is shrinking. AI did not take your job. CEOs have wasted money trying to scare you. Capitalism will destroy the planet even futher.
AI absolutely took my job. Might not have taken yours, but it 100% took mine.
Fuck AI and fuck anyone who shills for it.
I don’t really feel its taken mine but its a good excuse to understaff. its happening across everywhere.
I was laid off since my former boss wanted to use AI to write code instead of trained, experienced developers. He wanted me to use AI to write up to 100% of my code. I was trying to talk sense into him - use it for boilerplate functions or maybe codebase analysis, but any code touching anything important should be written by someone who knows what they’re doing. And at no point should any code written by AI not be subject to human review. Since he wanted to go all-in on vibe coding and my caution was a hindrance, I got the axe.
