Best OP of the season for me so far.

I do like this very much.

It’s ambitious in what it’s trying to do, but it doesn’t feel pretentious, i.e. no abstract bullshit, so far.

A clash between “rivals” sets up the MC as kind of a streaming superheroine.

I have no idea where this is going, but I’m feeling confident the writing, direction and art are going to get us somewhere in style.

This might just end up a sort of SE Lain for the 21st century - a different exploration of the heart and mind and soul of internet humanity for a different era.

It’s a daring ambition - it’s easy to try to be profound and end up just insipid and embarrassing - but this has kept its balance so far, in spite of a barrage of surreal imagery and philosophical meandering. And it’s even sneaking some real world drama in around the edges. I suspect that as it goes on, we’re going to more and more clearly see the gaps between the streaming personae and the people behind them.

And if nothing else, it looks and sounds great.

I don’t think “philosophy” is quite the right word for what this is.

It’s commentary on the “chat”'s online parasocial relationships to streamers, and the artifice behind the “show”.

All shown by taking us 5 minutes into the future.

For me, it really captures something that is happening right now.
