The image generator will also make photorealistic pictures of children upon request, but thankfully refuses to animate them inappropriately, despite the “spicy” option still being available. You can still select it, but in all my tests, it just added generic movement.

I forget who but someone hypothesized that the entire AI boom was being pumped by libertarians who wanted to make a CP generating machine before the venture capitalist money ran out and it makes way too much sense.

Graphics cards. This is all just an overcapacity in graphics card manufacturing.

It started with crypto mining. It drove up demand and chip producers were happy to scale up production to meet the new market. Today, crypto isn’t the growth market it was, so that capacity had to go somewhere. Lo and behold! What a coincidence, these LLMs could do with a whole lot of parallel calculations to speed up the training! So NVIDIA went from selling new cards to crypto startups, to selling new cards to OpenAI, Microsoft, and Google.

Yeah I found it disturbing to read that the author tried, but then I realized that if they didn’t and subsequently reported that it worked, then it would just generate CSAM for pedos until eventually someone DID report it

Anyone who likes the way an AI generated image of a person looks, has never seen a real human being

the whole thing makes my skin crawl, but ultimately its not heaps worse than magazines paying their graphic people to airbrush photographs

weird sex abuse freaks aside obviously

      Warning: Crude.

As people jerk off to something, their tolerance kind of fades away, things they would find repulsive or uncanny normally become more acceptable. And the more they do it, the more normalised it becomes to them.

Like you can generate beautiful nude women with perchance and then animate them in whatever nsfw image to video service you choose. There’s absolutely no reason to be doing deepfakes of real people unless your a turbo-incel.

deep fakes is kinda extra because of the potential for victimizing the subject, but you used to be able to make a few bucks drawing that shit and bad photoshops have been around for 20+ years despite the sources for those photoshops being available. People want specific because of the (para)social attachment, this also drives fanart of tifa or whatever instead of generic awooga lady and fanfic rather than everybody just writing OCs.
