Better that the “not recognizing Palestine until the conflict is over” plan of Germany. I wonder if that creates perverse incentives for Israel.

Israel: " We will never recognize a Palestinian state!!!"
Germany: “We can only recognize a Palestinian state after a negotiated solution with Israel. Also we must not enact any sanctions and protect Israel from sanctions. How else would we be able to keep the talking channels open?”

It would be funny how pathetic these lies are, if it wouldn’t mean hundred of people murdered daily and millions of people starving.

Not sure recognizing Palestine will do it any good at this point really… . other than harm Israels agenda.

If Palestine is recognized, it will give it more power at the UN and also push countries harder to stop helping the annihilation of another country.

It is not enough in itself, but it is one of many necessary steps.

The west bank will and the PLO, which most of these countries recognize as the government of palestine, probably will to.

Gaza, probably not. Hamas, maybe will.

I wouldn’t be too sure…they’ve already voted to annexe the West Bank, also in September - settler violence is ramping up against the Palestinians and the rate of land theft and demolition is also accelerating - all part of the annexation.
