Hey so lemmy.ml folks there is this bot account that copies comics from here to lemmy.world. I initially just blocked the user so that in my feed I could see mine without duplicates but I was looking over what it does and this is an experiment im doing with the title. If it gets copied over as I think it will then I will keep the format.
FOLLOWUP EDIT - So looks like the user had to edit the bot behavior which at least causes them to have to put some individual effort into it so I will keep it up while I look it over.
If other instances won’t ban repost bot accounts, especially those with the intention of growing their own domestic user counts at the expense of other instances, there’s nothing we can do about that unfortunately. We certainly wouldn’t allow them here, and people should report those accounts.
Yeah Im just gonna do the title thing to force the guy to put in some human effort.

What happened to our post comrade?
So I manually post a comic I like and this person has put up a bot account to hoover up all the posts from another community and post them on their community to be the one community to rule them all. I notice it picks up the title so I decided to use that when I post.
There’s nothing stopping you from using a bot for the original post.
The community size is likely more a reflection of the fact that .ml is defederated by many instances and blocked by a large number of users.
or for that matter the guy doing his post by drawing from devils panties so its not reliant on my posting. Im unusual in that im not here for links and such so much as people relating things they like.
