We all know that if von der Leyen wasn’t a member of the same conservative party as Merz, he’d have criticized the agreement to no end, calling it the end of Germany, maybe the EU even, and underlined how other parties have no clue about economic issues and only C*U understands those. But again, here we are, and something is alternativlos again, though I guess he’s really trying to avoid that particular word.

On behalf of many German citizens I apologise for our chancellor and Von der Leyen. I’m so fucking sorry!!!

Let’s hope at least one EU leader does the right thing and scuppers the “deal”.
