A group of US judges has voted to replace President Donald Trump’s selection for New Jersey’s top federal prosecutor amid opposition from Democrats in the state.

It is rare for judges to reject an interim prosecutor from continuing in the role, according to experts. The group of judges made the decision just as Habba’s 120-day post was set to end.

A similar situation played out last week in New York, where judges voted to block the interim US attorney from staying on.

John Sarcone III departed the role, but will stay on as an “special attorney to the attorney general”, according to the justice department.

Could someone downvote or upvote this? I honestly don’t care which one. It’s very odd to have articles not have any movement either way and it’s happening to articles consistently lately.

Very true, I was hoping that was it. It’s just rare that there isn’t a vote either way and it’s been happening a few times. I’ll just take it as people don’t care about it in the future. Thanks for responding guys.
