The swappable buttons don’t include the switches do they? Gimmicky if not. They’re four buttons in a diamond. You can just imagine whichever layout you really don’t need to SEE them. At least swappable switches would be good repairability and offer different feels.
Some people do really prefer the buttons to be correct, myself included. As for repairability, I’ve never had issues with any other 8bitdo product that weren’t an easy fix.
What are those L2/R2 buttons like when you switch their mode?
Do they resemble what we had on PS2 (feels like just a button)?
If so, I’m really interested. Damn gradual triggers do NOT work well with most games where you want precision for those button presses.
I’d say the Switch 2 Pro controller would be a great option for you if it wasn’t a repairability nightmare and expensive. Analog triggers and feels really nice
I loved my Switch 1 pro controller until the L/R/ZL/ZR buttons started losing reliability. They wouldn’t register unless I pressed really hard, or would cut when I was trying to hold them pressed. I imagine the new one has similar issues.
But wait your say the Switch 2 one has analog triggers now? Ugh. I hate analog triggers.
Oh no sorry I meant digital. Honestly I prefer analog but no they are still digital. And the sticks feel really, really nice.
But yeah after seeing the iFixit video, I can’t recommend it
Ah, I see. A pity.
