Stirling’s alternative bases are great. UWB makes a wonderful lather, which I sort of wouldn’t think it would considering the use of beeswax.

2 passes. Face lather. Excellent shave.
This was a test shave for a new coticule edge on this 5/8 Wade & Butcher. I think the edge met all of my requirements. I hope the razor’s owner agrees.

Mine too. I don’t even dislike them, but somehow, I’m gravitating to the hollow grinds.
As am I. Yet, when I use a wedge I really enjoy it.

I think it’s just straight up grapefruit. Definitely from before my time, Jobooze gave me a bottle. Pretty sure phteven unloaded several on him that he had lying around.
Oh, I didn’t know there was a straight up grapefruit and I immediately read it as gravefruit. My bad
I also was unaware! A couple times the font has had me second guessing whether that’s actually a “p” as well 😄
I recall they called their single note scents the Basic Witch line, if you didn’t know that.

Le Grand Chypre and the freshness of Speick make for a very nice combo for a warm almost-summer day like today.

This was a rushed shave so I could get out the door for a last minute overtime work shift. The Era Lvl 3 has long been a super favorite of mine, but this Lvl 2 is hot on its tail. Super nice.
I don’t know why iOS has to suck so hard, but copying and pasting the SOTD text from my SDS results in the line breaks being removed. If I didn’t need this iPad for work I’d sell it in a heartbeat.
