Credit where credit is due. Thank you for voting NO on cuts to Medicare/Medicaid/SNAP. Thank you for all making it out and trying your best to push back.
Thank you for standing behind the people and looking out for the best interests of America.
AND A BIG THANK YOU TO THOMAS MASSIE FROM KENTUCKY FOR ALSO VOTING NO!
Edit: for those who are curious for what comes next. Please read this BlueSky thread for more clarity: https://bsky.app/profile/bbkogan.bsky.social/post/3lj27ohxeu22m
We have more opportunities to stop it down the road but none of those opportunities will work if we don’t call our Republican representatives and show up in person to their offices to convince them to vote NO.
After all 3 of the Republican hold outs that were firm no’s at the start were personally called by commander in queef. So my guess is bribed or blackmailed to switch to yes.

(meu5l3a)Emails are the easiest to ignore. The best would be calling your faxing to your representatives office

(mevjbjr)I am sorry! Be persistent and keep sending them emails as I will continue to email mine.

(mevlj9k)Yeah they’re all gloating like “these Dems didn’t vote for no taxes on tips and overtime. They’re campaigning for us! Why do they hate Americans?” They legit have no clue about the Medicaid shit

(meuhhp4)How is it that I’m only now hearing about reconciliation? It used to be that republicans could filibuster all of the democratic bills, causing them to fail. But now when the tables are turned, we can’t do the same thing to them? I’m so confused as to why we are powerless in both scenarios. That seems so unfair

(meupkl7)They voted no to cut benefits, every single dem. Even though they lost the vote and it passed, they are doing what we wanted and standing up for us.

(metrvux)Is the parliamentarian allowing this? Remember the whole thing with democrats where she said they couldn’t for what they were hoping to get through reconciliation?

(mevqt3x)So did rep David veladao ® vote for it? Cause when I called his staff was absolutely swearing he was gonna vote against it.

(meu1m1r)Yep. They’re trying. And they know their constituents would eat them alive if they missed it lol

(metcn7x)Yeah, I saw one Republican voted no. Too bad none of the rest of them did.

(metxrf5)Tom Massie was the only Republican that voted against it.
Apparently the vote was nearly cancelled because they couldn’t get all the Republican support they needed. So yes, the Dems voting against it does matter

(metxvow)This debt thing. My mom supports Trump in decreasing the national debt while also supporting him wanting to increase the debt. I mean…she doesn’t like that he’s wanting the debt but it hasn’t made anything go off in her head like “hmmm “
My ex-friend, who I cut out of my life a few weeks ago bc Trump, cared more about the national debt than the possibility his mom might lose her Medicaid.
To think I used to think of these people as critical thinkers who could also think ahead. 🙄

(mevo7q7)I’d love to hear your friend explain away the Tesla money.
