I think instead of increasingly abstracted versions of rocks, they should embrace the freedom to make a hold any shape you can mold out of fiberglass, and just go ham. A starfish looks like a good shape, throw some plastic starfish on the wall.

I love the use of the phone, since that’s a real-world shape used directly. (Except it’s also a jug handle hold and who needs those.)
