Some keyboards have special features like Razer's Snap Tap and Wooting's SOCD, that can give an unfair advantage in online games, and so Valve have put their foot down and entirely banned such tricks in Counter-Strike 2.

Just saw a guy speedrunning getting kicked for just (spamming) ad strafing. A lot of false positives.

E: Here is the video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCDSpzH6-xw

Are there a lot of false positives, or was he trying to get banned to prove a point? Still false positives are definitely the worry. Maybe it watches for a set number of perfectly timed inputs that otherwise humans wouldn’t do.

Definitely the first one, after each record they show that their kb macro app had no SOCD enabled and that the cs2 binds were not modified. Will try to find the video but youtube is as usual, really unhelpful found it, see my original comment

Unrelated but CS2 has been unplayable on Linux for over a month. Persistent freezing when navigating menus and joining matches. https://github.com/ValveSoftware/csgo-osx-linux/issues/3803
